Before engaging a qualified real estate buyers agent you should ask some very important questions which will tell you if they are the right person to assist in sourcing, negotiating and securing your next property purchase.

I have included my answers to these questions so you can weigh up just who has the most expertise when you are interviewing multiple agents for their services.

Q. Why did you become a buyers agent?

A. I have a passion for property, am an expert negotiator and a successful real estate investor. A few years ago I began assisting friends and family to help them build their property portfolios and I realised that I gain much satisfaction helping them to make informed decisions and to purchase quality real estate that suits their investing or lifestyle needs.

Q. Do you own any investment properties?

A. Yes I do, I own properties in Brisbane, Logan and on the Gold Coast. I was featured in an 8 page interview in Australian Property Investor magazine in November 2008. Since then I have continued to evolve my investment skills and love to utilise creative property strategies. I have just written an eBook about my journey and outlined some of my favorite strategies that I have used to build and maintain a large real estate portfolio without the need to work. I am a buyers agent first and foremost because I enjoy what I do.

Q. What areas are your expertise?

A. I am an expert in the Brisbane, Logan and Gold Coast property markets. I am able to confidently negotiate on your behalf on all types of real estate priced from $200 thousand to $20 million.

Q. Do you receive commissions or kickbacks from anyone else in the property purchase process?

A. I work for you the buyer and you alone, if I recommend the services of anyone along the way including solicitors, finance brokers or building and pest inspectors it is because I believe that they are the best at what they do. When I show you a property it is because I believe it is the property that suits you needs. I have access to all properties on the market and some that are not yet listed.
